Dr Emily Schilbach
Dr Emily Schilbach is a General Practioner and Orthopaedic surgical assistant who has more recently developed her practice to include a special interest in skin conditions and anti-ageing. She completed her Medical degree at Monash University in 2005 (MBBS, Hons), followed by hospital residency years at The Royal Melbourne and Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospitals (2006 – 2009) and postgraduate Fellowship of The Royal College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2011.
Over 2016-2017 Emily completed a Professional Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine and trained under Dr Jenny Kimmins at Southern Cosmetics to develop her skills in treating skin conditions. Emily follows the same philosophy as Jenny of gradual and minimal cosmetic enhancement to produce the most natural results possible. Emily aims for you to look refreshed like you’ve just returned from a holiday, rather than having any obvious cosmetic work (which can lead to that undesirable frozen look).
Emily is passionate about preventative health care, anti-ageing, skin & beauty. She is a fitness fanatic who practices a balanced lifestyle, including healthy diet and stress minimisation for excellent overall physical and skin health. She looks forward to working with you to improve your skin concerns including; acne & scarring, rosacea, sun damage, photo-ageing, pigmentation, redness, and hair loss. Emily can also assist with skin care advice for prevention of ageing, anti-wrinkle injections and therapeutic use of lasers.
